Visualizing and Questioning

LI: to visualise and question scenes in a book.

This week for reading we learned about Visualization Mr Wong first told us what it means then made a google document so we can do what it says on the document. We first had to find a book then read the book after that we had to take one sense out of the book and put it on the google document. We had to write what number page was the sense on and then we had to draw on a piece of paper how the sense is described as then lastly we had to put the title of the book on the google document but we had to do to books.

LI : To know what is media

This week for cyber smart we did what in media then we had to do a slide show on what is media and we had to out in the box what we know about media and the next slide we did wasa video we watched then in the box we had to put in our information that was in the video.

Swimming

Today we went to the panmure pools to learn new skills for swimming.We changed our clothes and jumped in the pool,We all had to do one skill first before anything.We had to put one arm up on the right side then swap so the our arm can go on our left side.Well doing that we had to put our head up and breathe.The task was kinda hard and most of us did not do it well,then we were put into groups form bad to good.We had a person teach us things as well,we all had to go on the side of the pool and go in slow into the water.Then we learned some other skills before playing a game.The person garbed some toys and we had to get them and bring them back.When that was done we learned another way to get in the pool safe or any type of thing that has water like a water fall.Then we learned a few more skills till we put a clothes back on and went back to school.

Smart Media

L.I is to learn about media and what it is

Media is the technology that we use to communicate with others or share sites, for example Facebook is a site that you can share other people in or messenger because messenger is where you can text someone or call someone.

Kiwi can

L.I: To bounce back

Today me and Group A went to Kiwi can. We had a good start cause we did a warm up game for the kiwi can leaders. They had to guess what were doing in the holidays by acting it out. We got into our energiser and we played Oder up. How does that game work. Well, the Kiwi can leaders had to tell us what things that goes in order and we had to go in order. It was kinda difficult. Reason why? Cause we had to be silences. We couldn't talk but we nearly got it right. There were 2 mistakes well we were playing it was the birthday moths and the ages.  We talk about what we are going to do in the future. I didn't put my hand up cause I didn't know what I was gonna do in the future. We had an activities. Our activities was we played a game called Up or down. To play we had 3 cones and 2 hula hoops. 1 hula hoop to stand in and another one to through in the cones. There were 1 and 2 team. Team 2 won and Team 1 lost. I was in Team 1 but I didn't care cause at the end everyone was a winner. We didn't got to see our points cause we ran out of time.

Duffy Theater

L.I On Monday we went to Duffy Theatre and watched a play about bullying. It showed us to stop bullying and if any one is getting bullied then you can tell the bully to stop. Make sure you include everybody in games and think about how people feel.

LS1 quiz for term 2

LI: to learn about MRS GREN
Today was the day of the Quiz! We all did the quiz and had an amazing setup. We did drawing, sculpting and questioning. We first did drawing. Everyone in the group had to do at least one drawing. There were six drawings we have to do. Same with all the others. Six scuplts, and six questions we had to answer. We learned everything we needed to learn for this day. The systems we have learned about is the Nervous System with Sensitivity. The Digestive System with Nutrition. The Respiratory System with Respiration. Finally we learned about the Circulatory System.

ASB get wise

Today we had a ASB get wise session. The ASB get wise man named Jayden that came to LS1 to teach us how to save money. We learnt about CASH goals. CASH goals stand for- Clear, Action, Save, How long, goals. We have to be clear because we might not like the things we get, we have to take action so you can earn money, we have to save so when we get older we can buy valuable things, we have to know how long so we can step up and earn more money.

Maori new year

This week we did a poster with some of the LS1 students. We worked collaboratively to actually complete this task. The poster that we were creating was about Matariki. As we were researching through google we found out some interesting facts. Did you know that Matariki is the mother of her six daughters? These information came from our smart searching skills. We actually talked about what work we wanted to do. I chose to research some of the questions so that my group could understand the celebration of Matariki.
