This year has been one of roughest year as we got into lockdown and things about as Covid-19 hit. On weekdays every friday the year 7’s and year 8’s students at Panmure Bridge School goes to tech, At tech we have 3 rotations, The year 7’s rotations went from Mrs Fregson,Mrs Heka and Mrs Sharma, Mrs Fregoson is all about doing robots and moving them around as playing with coding, Mrs Heka is all about making food and trying them out, lastly Mrs Sharma is all about having fun in science. I think tech this year was the best as it was our first year doing tech, I really enjoyed finding out new things every friday with them. I think tech really helped me with learning different facts.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Mrs Fisi'iahi.

Tech Reflection
This week is the last tech session for this year. For tech the year 7's students learned about plants and food. We learned about plants by answering questions and finding out information about plants. We also really enjoyed going outside and only having 2 minutes to find 10 different leaves. One of the elements of science for plants is Size and Colour. I also really liked finding out the different leaves between. I also really liked enjoyed working with my buddies and understand different facts about leaves. I really like going to science at tech this year my favourt thing we did was picking the leaves today.

Kapa Haka
Today Te Whanau Raukura preformed at our school they sung lots of songs and also danced. Te Whanau Raukura also preformed at the Auckland Museum but because of the lock down the Auckland Museum is closed. The dances they did were amazing. They used te rakau witch is a stick used to warm up before a battle. They also used a taiaha to fight. Bekah from Te Whanau Raukura showed LS2 how she use the pois the game she showed us how to play was pukana. The thing I found interesting was all the dances that they did.

Exploring our national current events
L.I To identify author’s purpose.
Authors write for a purpose (reason). These reasons are to persuade, inform or entertain (PIE). Each day, newspaper editors around the world must make desicions about which stories they will run. We explored the different types of current events that are happening in New Zealand, thought about why the story made the news and plotted the location on a google map.
Provocation: Should masks be compulsory on NZ public transport?
L.I To identify and consider the two perspectives of this provocation to help me.
