Operation Christmas Drop
For the last 68 years the men and women of the US Airforce who are based at Andersen Airforce Base in Guam have been using a pilot training drill to drop much needed supplies to the people who live on the 50 remote islands that surround Guam. My opinion is that when they drop the crates I would like to donate some things like.

Tech Reflection for the end of the year
This year has been one of roughest year as we got into lockdown and things about as Covid-19 hit. On weekdays every friday the year 7’s and year 8’s students at Panmure Bridge School goes to tech, At tech we have 3 rotations, The year 7’s rotations went from Mrs Fregson,Mrs Heka and Mrs Sharma, Mrs Fregoson is all about doing robots and moving them around as playing with coding, Mrs Heka is all about making food and trying them out, lastly Mrs Sharma is all about having fun in science. I think tech this year was the best as it was our first year doing tech, I really enjoyed finding out new things every friday with them. I think tech really helped me with learning different facts.
Tech Reflection
This week is the last tech session for this year. For tech the year 7's students learned about plants and food. We learned about plants by answering questions and finding out information about plants. We also really enjoyed going outside and only having 2 minutes to find 10 different leaves. One of the elements of science for plants is Size and Colour. I also really liked finding out the different leaves between. I also really liked enjoyed working with my buddies and understand different facts about leaves. I really like going to science at tech this year my favourt thing we did was picking the leaves today.

Exploring our national current events
L.I To identify author’s purpose.
Authors write for a purpose (reason). These reasons are to persuade, inform or entertain (PIE). Each day, newspaper editors around the world must make desicions about which stories they will run. We explored the different types of current events that are happening in New Zealand, thought about why the story made the news and plotted the location on a google map.
Provocation: Should masks be compulsory on NZ public transport?
L.I To identify and consider the two perspectives of this provocation to help me.
A provocation is an action or speech that triggers strong feelings about a topic. Today we considered both sides of the provocation, ‘Should masks be compulsory on NZ public transport?’ We then used that information to help us form an opinion that we could justify with evidence

LI: To create a DLO explaing the Law of Inertia.
Choices Explanation
L.I To right a explanation.
Why did you drop that piece of plastic? Do you know what you are doing by dropping a piece of plastic?
Did you know that the sea animals are dying and we are the ones killing them. If you want to be eating plastic and chips then keep dropping your plastic & if you want to eat fish and chips then stop throwing your plastic on the ground because it will go to the ocean.
Birds are getting strangled in the nets and eating the plastic that we throw on the ground. We have to help the sea birds by putting our plastic in the bin and taking the plastic out of the ocean.
Even sea turtles are changing their shape because people are throwing the plastic can holder on the ground and the wind blows it away into the ocean and is getting stuck around the body of the turtle and the turtles are eating the plastic we are putting in the ocean.
Most of the sea animals are mistaking the plastic as food. Did you know that a turtle got a straw stuck in its nose and a vet had to get it out.
If we keep dropping our plastic we won't be able to swim or have fish and chips again we might have plastic and chips. I don't want to have plastic and chips. We have to prevent the plastic from going into the ocean so we can care for the sea animals and the ocean.

Miss Rebecca is our dance teacher. The topic is me and my body. We did dance to express me by doing movement and by creating shapes with our body to the song. we had to dance around until the music stopped then we had to be collaboratively with our group and make a shape with our body. The fun thing about dance is that there are no wrong ways to dance. you can dance however you want.the finish this is that we needed to work together to see what letters we can get in to we had four groups of six and in that six people we all had to try do the alphabet with the whole group
Science: Summarise the text
This week for reading our focus is science. For this second activity my group and I skimmed and scanned our notes and shared ideas to create a collaborative summary explaining ‘what is science?’. We divided our lengthy summary into 3 following paragraphs: an introduction on science, the 4 main categories of science and the two types of science.
What is science

Evaluating a Text
LI: To read the information in the text, think about what you have read and form an opinion
We read the story ‘The Protest March’ then made connections between what is happening in the world now. We used the information in the story and our prior knowledge to help us form an opinion.
Hotcake Recipe
For writing we have been learning how to write a procedural text. To do this we used the recipe we followed at Tech. This procedure tells the reader how to make hot cakes. Before we wrote this we worked collaboratively to order the pictures Mrs Anderson took of us making the hotcakes. Once we had done that we matched each photo with a verb. A verb is an action word and tells anyone following the recipe what they need to do. After that we use the verbs as sentence starters and collaboratively wrote a list of instructions.
