TOW summary

To gain trust, the crown asked the maori chiefs to sign Te Tiriti o Waitangi in Aotearoa. This treaty was meant to be an agreement that gave maori protection. Then there was conflict over land sales and misunderstandings that took place. The maori also lost land through the native land court. Overtime politicians started to acknowledge this. Later maori protested on how the government treated them
