L.I Learn ow to help people improve their blog posts.
For commenting we have to comment on someones work and we have to help them improve their blog posts.

Music

L.I To learn how to play music on different  interments.
Today for music we had to be in partners because we had to play together on the xylophone. We had to play  C A F G and we did with one call away and shotgun on the xylophone. We had to do the same time if we do not do it at the same time then it will sound bad. I learned how to play together on the xylophone  with my partner.

Basic facts

L.I o learn basic facts.
This week we had to do basic facts and we had to make one and i make one and we had to get it done adn then we had to blog it.

SSR selfie

L.I To learn how to learn how to retell a book in your own words.
This week we had to do SSR selfie for SSR selfie we had to make this and we had to do it and i did one about crocodile and crocodile are thing that are good and then we had to blog it and it is called SSR Selfie.

Reading

  • LI: to summaries pages using key words.
  • This week I learnt how to summaries using key words from a book we read a book called using a tail for reading.
  • I learnt how to summaries by reading a book and finding key words.  
  • I used google docs and my book to learn how to summaries.

Writing


LI: to revise and edit a recount We used all our knowledge from the past few weeks and we wrote a recount. The recount we had to write was a Kiwi Can, Kiwi Sport, or Music recount. We then had to get in pairs and give each other our recount. Then we had to edit each others recount. When we've done that we had to check our own recount which was checked and edited, then see the changes that were made. The changed were all worth a specific amount of points Points system. 1 point for every change/addition made 1 point if an adjective is added 1 point is an adverb is added 2 points if the title was reworked to be more interesting 2 points if the word said is changed to be more interesting 2 points if punctuation is added (Exclamation, Question mark, Ellipsis, speech marks) 5 points if the sentence has been developed using our strategy from 3 weeks ago 5 points if the changes makes TREE more visible -2 points if a capital letter is used outside of beginning of a sentence and a persons name -10 points if there is only Full stops and/or commas -20 points if only adjectives have been added -20 points if there is under 10 changes and/or the changes didn’t make sense

Hauroa


LI: To learn about Hauora. Today this week in inquiry we had to learn about all the four walls that are physical, mental/emotional, social, and spiritual. and we had lots of things that can connect to the four walls for example eating vegetables would go under physical because it helps you grow stronger and that is physical because your body is growing. After that we had to do it again but it was our own personal one that would mean we had to write things down that would go under one of the four wall of hauora for example like being confident to try something new.

Statistics


L.I To learn something about the class or school using statistics.

This week for maths we had to create a survey as a group. We first had to find out the question we were going to ask which was: ' Where is the most popular place to sit and rest in the school? '. We had to make zones then take the photo and put it on a google form. Our group did 10 zones in total. I really enjoyed this activity and making a form.

Kiwi Can


L.I How to include people.
For Kiwi can we talked about friendship. For this we played a game called secret cards, but first we had a talk about what good friends are and including other people. After that we played secret cards, in this game we got cards that had bad secrets and good secrets on them. As a group we had to decide which secret goes to the good place and which goes to the bad place and later talked about it as a class. Lastly it was GKQ time, I like it because it has many different questions.

L.I To learn how to wright a book in your own words.
This week we did SSR selfie we had to get a book and we had to go on to SSR selfie and for that you have to get a book and you have to talk about it.

Ki o rahi

LI: to learn how to play Ki O Rahi using the proper rules.
This week for ki o rahi was the last week we got to play it, we played ki o rahi again, we played the proper game of ki o rahi. each team had two minuts of being kioma or tanipha and then we had to switch. This week I learn by playing ki o rahi.

Basic facts boxs

LI:to remember basic maths facts.
For extra work I did basic facts box, a basic facts box is a box with equations that we have to answer. I use this to practice my math for the future math lessons. This week I learned by doing the basic maths box and by practicing my basic facts.

Writing

L.I to identify different recounts.
 For Mr. Ogilvie's writing group we had to make a poster about Punctuation marks. We also had to pick a paragraph from the messed up story and add different words to it. For this, I had to make a two poster on google draw.

Improved Paragraph Poster: In this poster, we had to pick a paragraph of the messed up Story and put in different words. I had put in words that were more Describing.

Inter school cricket

Yesterday was a hot day for our cricket inter school challenging different schools, I've learnt so far is how to bowl and how to catch the ball soy they would be out.

The teams we challenge was Stan hope, Tamki primary,Stonefleid,Panama road, sadly We lost against Stone field and Stan hope, But we won Against Panama school and Tmaki priory. Here is an image of all of the teams.

Thesaurus work


L.I To identify key words.
Today I had to use a thesaurus to tell people about more words that mean the same thing.
A thesaurus is an thing that tells you more words that mean the same thing like the photo on the screen.

Haurora

L.I to learn the 4 dimensions of Haurora.
Today we had made a google slide about a table. If there is only one leg on a table then the table will fall down or some thing will fall down off the table and on to the ground. As you can see the image is showing the 4 dimension and the different types of haurora like a house if a house dose not have a house roof the the house will be wet.

This week for maths we learned about place value.We had to make
a grid about place value.

Place Value
We had to make numbers going up and down and the numbers we did
for place value we did was ones,tens,hundred and also thousands.
We also had to do muiltiplication for place value as well. place value is a thin that you can use to make smaller numbers in to bigger numbers.

L.I To Learn all the chords & notes on a Ukulele , Chime Bar & a Piano


Yesterday Which was 3\13\2019 LS1 And I had Music With Miss Whea Odie , We got to play either a chime bar or a Ukulele & Miss whea odie ( Our Music Teacher) chose the people that were aloud to go on the piano , But the people that were going on the piano had to be the people that had never played on the piano from these recent weeks that we had music . the Miss Whea Odie sent people outside that New all the chords that we have been learning which were C , F , G And A minor , she also gave us a sheet that Had the song "shot Gun" by George Ezra because that was the song that LS1 has been learning to play.

Types of abuse

L.I: To learn about the different kinds of abuse'

Today my inquiry group learnt about different kinds of abuse. We learnt 7 kinds of them. Those kinds of abuse are Emotional, Physical, Family Violence, Cyber, Sexual and Neglect.
What is abuse?
Abuse is use (something) to bad effect or for a bad purpose.

What does these 6 abuse mean?
Emotional abuse means someone hurting your feelings every time.
Physical abuse means someone harming you every time.
Family Violence is when a family member harms you every time.
Cyber abuse is when someone online abuse you every time.
Sexual abuse is when some does or shows you sexual things.
Neglect is when your parents doesn't looks after you or cares for you.

 Types of touch
LI: To make a poster about a safety topic

This week for Inquiry we had to make a poster about 1 topic out of Personal strengths, Emotions and Actions, Safe/unsafe situations or types of touch. My group chose Types of Touch because we knew we could talk about Confusing, Positive and hurting touch more than the other topics.

On This Poster, we gave examples on the types of touch and wrote what to do next if one of these kinds of touch happen to you. This week in KoS we learnt all about safety. Our aim on this poster was to show safe things to do when these types of touch occur.

Maths

This week for math we had to make a flipgrid for hat we had to talk about tens and onehundreds and for that we had to make a flipgrid talk about what we did and what we had to do we had tp make a flipgrid so that we hcna tell what we did and we had to make a grids and help us to learn big number and we had to start it and then we had to do the flipgrid but we had to do the grids first when we were done we had to start on the flipgrid and then we had to make it and we can chage what we look like and put it like what we want it to look like and then we had to get the link and then we were done.

In our writing session we were doing a bank of words.
We  have to do it individual first after we have to go to the person that have the same word as you. After share all of the words to the person that have the most words.

Kiwi sport

L.I To learn how to play a full game of Ko-Rahi.
For Kiwi sport we player the proper version of ki o rahi. We had two of the teams which are Taniwha and Kioma. Kioma wears yellow tags and Taniwha wears Red tags. This tested of how we will be playing next week and so that if we get picked for the Kioma or Taniwha team then we can play the role. When we finished the score was five to one and the Taniwha team won which is the team that I was in.

Kiwi can co-operation

L.I To learn how to work as a team.
Today at kiwi can we played our energizer. The energizer was opposite the game opposite is a game you can play any time. If I said to look down then you have to look up if I said to put you hand up you have to put your hand down. Next we talked about co-operation with Ms Mack and Ms page. The next game we played was command and conker to play you have to have 4 teams then you have to have 1 person from each team then you have to tell them some thing to do and then played GKQ at the end.

This week for reading we learnt about the antonym and synonym and they also mean the opposite and same. We had to make a google doc showing you the word in the middle and the opposite on the left and the same on the right and it also shows picture to show what I mean.

Writing



L.I To learn how to build a sentence.
For writing we had to build sentence. I chose this sentence because my brother had is last game of football of 2018. We used these five points to make our sentences better and better to make it the stage of completed work.

How to tell the time


L.I to tell the time on an analog clock.
This week we had to tell the time and we had to make a poster for math and then we had to tell how to tell time and we had to tell the time and we had to make a poster that we had to tell about how to make and clock and then we had to make the poster to show people how to tell the time and then we had to make the poster then we had to make it and then we had to write down about how to tell time and to tell people how to make a poster about clock and then we had to make it and then we had to tell then how to make then and how to tell time and then we had to do some clock to show then the time and then we had to blog it.

Music

 L.I to learn how to play music.
Yesterday we went to music and played on the ukulele, the notes were c, g, f. six people went on the piano for free time and five people went out side and played on the ukulele. I stayed in side and played on the chime bars.

Kiwi can


LI: to learn how to praise some one.
For Kiwi can we started off the session by playing our Energizer. Our Energizer was called "Rock, Paper, Scissor, Shoot", or just "Rock, Paper, Scissors". We had to play Rock, Paper, Scissors with another person. Then if you lost you had to turn around and touch the ground. Then go tag your opponent. We then kept playing with that person or we could switch with another.

Later we talked about the meaning of Praise and what does it mean? Praise means worshipping someone or admiring someone. After that we then played a game called Kickball. We had to get into two groups. Then one group is defending and the other attacking. The attacker had a ball and had to kick it as far as they could so they could score a try, while the defending team had to get the ball and tag him with it. The attacking team scored a try by running, and coming back. Or they could run and stay at the safe zone, while their teammate scores and run back they can run back as well.

L.I To write a succinct blurb for a blog post.
Write a succinct blurb is important to tell people what we learned. The way we learnt how to write a blurb was by writing a plane. we made a plane about the blurb and the blog post.

Inter school Softball

L.I to go to softball inter school.

Yesterday Panmure Bridge School went to the softball inter school. We had two teams participating. I was in the year 5&6 team. in total we played five games against other schools. They were Tamaki primary, 2 point England teams and more. Overall we came 4th in the tournament for year 5&6's. I enjoyed planing because I like competition.

Koki o Rahi/Kiwi Sport



LI: to learn the positions of team taniwha
This week for Kiwi Sport we learnt the positions of taniwha. Team Taniwha can only stay on Te Roto (Moat/Lake). Also it can go on Te Ao (World) . We first started off by timing how much throws we can get to the Tupu (Rock) in one minute. We also did a time trial on how long it takes for everyone to get one throw to the Tupu (Rock).

Later we then added defenders which defend the Tupu from being hit by the ball. So we added defenders and timed how much in a minute we can get the ball to touch the Tupu.

We then played Rescue Te Ara which is where there is a person as the wife who has to be saved. Te Ara is at Pawhero (Island). Then there are Taniwhas on the moat trying to tag the people who are trying to save Te Ara. When some of the rescuers successfully get to Te Ara they have to go cross back through the Taniwha trying not to be tagged.
