Kiwi can

Today at kiwi can we were learning about role models. Role models are people who inspires you and other people. For an example Afa someone in my class he inspires me because he always stops people fighting.The energiser we played was called hammer and the activity's were pitcher it and GKQ.

Past & Present

L.I To learn about gourds and how they were used.
Today I was working in a group of 3 to find out about gourds and how they were used in the past and now. In the past the Polynesian explorers would scoop out the seeds and dry the gourds until the gourds are hard and dry. Now they use the gourds to make bird house's.

Care values

Today Afa and I were doing our care Awards. Then we decided we could play a game with room 2. So we went over to room 2 and we decided we could play duck duck goose. First we taught the kids how to play the game. And this was how we played the game. We had to get into a circle and one person had to walk around and say  duck and when he had said goose the person he picked would stand up and chase the other person till he had sat down on the floor. If someone got tagged you would be out. At the end the winner was kohen.

People who named parts of NZ

In pairs we worked collaborative to find out the meanings of why places are called what they are. Their were three people we needed to find out what places they named in NZ. Those people were Abel Tasman, Captain James Cook and Kupe. 

Using the number line

Today I showed you how to use a number line on how to use it.
