Writing

LI: to write an End Result using the new adjectives in our vocab list.
A end result is one or 2 sentences that tell you what is being created.
Today for writing I did a end result about lamingtons. Lamingtons are a quintessential part of every Australian's childhood. This is the link to make lamingtons.

Kiwi Sport

L.I To learn how to be flexible.
We first started off by playing Tag but we had to navigate around in specific ways like hop around with one leg. We then did some stretches. We did the L - Shape, Seal, Butterfly, Cat, Straddle.

We then did another rotation. But some of the activities were different.
Rotation One: There was a beam to walk forwards on then do a little jump. We also had to cartwheel across or along a line. Lastly there was another beam we had to do a forward roll on. We then had to do a dive roll of the stage. We then had to do bunny hops on a beam.

Rotation Two: There was a trampoline to jump on and we had to go as high as possible then land, then front roll, then do the same thing but a dive roll. We then had to do a backwards roll. After we had to do candlesticks, then a full handstand, and a tuck handstand. Lastly jump of a board and do a 180 spin in the air.

Rotation Three: We had to do a handstand on a wall on bars. We then went on bars held o
urselves on it. Next there were parallel bars and we had to hold our touching our bottoms then swinging. There was a beam and we had to do a Front, Back, and Side Support rotation. Lastly there were bars we had to go on and do mini push ups.

Communication


L.I To learn how to communicate.
LI: to collaborate on a taskCollaboration is when you work with someone on a project. We also talked about what kind of language we should say to our partner or group. Formal language is the best to say to your group. When collaborating we should plan out what is everyone's role.
Our task was to make a meme about collaboration. We had to have a role to make the meme. For example someone finding the picture.

Reading Inferring


LI: to figure out information from clues in a text.
What is inferring? Inferring is when you have a clue and you figure something in the clue.
We have to infer some of the words and we can infer from the picture. So I'm making connection with the things that I already know to help you infer from the clues in the text.

Inferring/reading


LI: to figure out information from clues in a text.
We are taking about inferring. inferring is figuring out clues in a text. We had to do with our group  the first slide with the photo of and sky tower. the question on the side said wheres are we I figure out this is Auckland city.

Kiwi can


L.I Doing things with out being asked.
Topic: Responsibility

Catch phrase: Kiwi can says- Responsible is what I am,and that's the way of kiwi can.

Define: spoke as a group about the different responsibility's we have to define what being responsible is.
Activity: Using skipping ropes, balancing a ball by working together. Once it was balanced perform simple tasks like touching the window with out the ball touching the floor.

Stardome

L.I to learn new things about space.
This week we went to Stardome and for that we went there and then we had to go on the bus and then we had to go there and then we had to get off and then we had to go in to this room and then they told us about the solo and that was a big place where all the plants where and then we had to go and we had to do a quirt we had to get in to a group of 5 and then we got a eye pad and then we had to go around and we had to try and get all the thing right and then we had to go in this room and we had to look up and it was really cool and then we had to watch the thing and after that we went back on the bus and went back to school.

Volume in maths


L.I to calculate the volume by measuring water displacement

We learnt how to measure volume. Volume is how much something can hold. We measured the volume of six objects altogether. The tools we used were measuring cup and our Chromebooks.

Writing

L.I To learn how to right a end results using simple sentences.
This week on Thursday the 23 Of May 2019 we had writing in the afternoon.We were learning about end Result.
We also learn about compound sentences.

Kiwi sport

L.I To develop body movements of balance,strength and rotation.#

Stretches- L shape,seal,butterfly,cat,straddle and back/front/and side support.

Rotation 1: beam,box,bench and the cartwheel foam line.

Rotation 2: Trampoline starfish,backwards roll,1 kg/scorpion handstand and half 180 jump.

Rotation 3: Handstand,back/front/and side support and parallel bars.
I think that the most deficient thing for me is 1 kg/scorpion hand stand.

Maori

L.I to learn about patupaiarehe fairies and the geography of Aotearoa.

Patupaiarehe are fairies that live in the deep deep forest.
They have magical powers like making magical rope and strength.

The patupaiarehe we learnt about today live on mountains.
We learnt about patupaiarehe and fairies by listening to the story of ihenga and searching for information, and using google drawing.

Kiwi Can

L.I To use integrity and honesty.
Staying honest is not always easy , but telling the truth or help a friend to tell the truth must be done.

We did a drama activity to show people's emotions in different  situations like when a lie is told or when you do some thing wrong.

Verbs

My DLO
LI: to write sentences starting with verbs.

I wrote a procedural text and I did steps of making a plane with verbs
and verbs are action words. Instead of saying action words you can say doing words.

Patupaiarehe and the mountains

LI: to learn the geography of Aotearoa
Mount Manganui is a mountain in Tauranga. The Hunua and Waitakere ranges are mountains in Auckland. Patupaiarehe are fairies that lived on these mountains in Maori myths. I also learned about the Paitupaiarehe and mountains by listening to two stories. They are called "The Legend of Mauo" and the other is "The Tureha Wars". I learned where the mountains are by looking on Google Maps.

Kiwi can

LI: To define what honestly is.
Our theme was Integrity and our topic is Honesty.
Our catchphrase was "Speak to me truthfully,that's called Honesty
Role play: in groups we were giving a situation about honesty. We needed to act out showing how to be honest.

For the role play my group was doing change in the situation the shop keeper gave me the same amount of money that I gave him I took it to my friends and they said give it back to the shop keeper when I did the shop keeper gave me a free bubble gum.
